Terms of Use

This translation is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Portuguese version, the Portuguese version prevails.

FixResume is an artificial intelligence agent that helps tech professionals build a resume tailored to each job opening. It is developed, operated and maintained by Softwise LTDA (“Softwise”), a Brazilian company registered under CNPJ (Brazilian company registration number) 59.176.542/0001-62, with its registered office at Quadra ARSE 141, Alameda 10, s/n, Quadra 12, Lote 17, Edif. Cond. do Carmo IV, Casa 02, Plano Diretor Sul, Palmas – TO, CEP 77024-768, Brazil.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of FixResume, both on the website and in the signed-in area. By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use FixResume.

With FixResume, you can:

• build your professional profile by typing in your details or importing the text of a PDF resume;
• analyze your resume against a job posting, with a match score, strengths, gaps, keywords and rewrite suggestions;
• generate a tailored resume for each job and export it as a PDF;
• improve the text in your profile and get skill and technology suggestions;
• track your applications on a board and generate an interview preparation guide.

FixResume is a support tool. It is not an employment or recruiting agency, it does not broker job openings, and it does not contact companies or recruiters on your behalf. Deciding whether to use a resume, and whom to send it to, is always up to you.

• FixResume is intended for people aged 18 or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are.
• Sign-up asks for your name and email. There is no password: to sign in, you receive a 6-digit code by email, valid for 10 minutes.
• To protect the service against bots, sign-up, sign-in and the code step go through an automatic check by Cloudflare (Turnstile).
• Because access depends on your email, keep your inbox secure and do not share the codes you receive. Anyone with access to your email can sign in to your account.
• Each account belongs to a single person and is personal and non-transferable. Do not share your account or use someone else’s.
• You are responsible for the activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorized use, write to contato@softwise.tech as soon as possible.
• Keep your account details accurate and up to date.

FixResume’s artificial intelligence features require a subscription plan or a day pass. Without either, they are unavailable.

Resume analyses, tailored resumes and text improvements use daily credits. The interview guide uses one text improvement each time it is generated, including when it is generated again. The other features (suggestions and PDF reading) do not use credits, but they count toward the fair-use limits in section 7.

Plans

• Each plan includes a number of credits per day, split by type of use: resume analyses, tailored resumes and text improvements.
• Credits renew every day at 12:00 AM (midnight), Brasília time.
• Credits not used during the day do not carry over to the next day and are not refunded, subject to the right of withdrawal in section 6.

Day pass

• A day pass is a one-time purchase, with no automatic renewal, that adds extra credits to the day’s credits: analyses, tailored resumes and text improvements.
• Anyone with a FixResume account can buy one, with or without a plan.
• Day pass credits are valid until 11:59 PM (Brasília time) on the day of purchase. Anything not used by then expires.

Prices and limits

Prices, the number of credits in each plan and what the day pass includes are shown on FixResume’s plans page. The terms displayed at the time of purchase apply.

Payment

• Payments are made on Stripe’s checkout page, and Stripe processes them. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and never reach FixResume.
• The currency is shown before you pay: Brazilian reais (BRL) if you use FixResume in Portuguese, and US dollars (USD) in the other languages. Once you subscribe to a plan, later purchases, such as a day pass, and plan changes are charged in your subscription’s currency.

Renewal

• Plans are monthly and renew automatically every month, charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel.
• If a charge is declined, it will be retried and your access continues in the meantime. If the payment is not resolved, you may lose access to your plan.

Changing plans

• An upgrade (moving to a plan with more credits) takes effect immediately, with a prorated charge for the time left in the current period.
• A downgrade (moving to a plan with fewer credits) takes effect at the next renewal. Until then, you keep your current plan.

Cancellation

• You can cancel your subscription at any time in “My subscription”, with no fee.
• After you cancel, there are no further charges. You keep access until the end of the period already paid.
• Outside the withdrawal period (section 6), there are no prorated refunds for unused time.

Price changes

Prices may change. If the price of your plan changes, you will be notified in advance, by email or in FixResume itself, before the new amount is charged. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the renewal.

Because you sign up online, you may withdraw within 7 days of the purchase or, when you pay by boleto, of the payment’s confirmation, when access begins, under article 49 of the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code). This applies to a plan subscription and to a day pass purchase.

• To withdraw from a plan, use “Request a refund” in “My subscription”, available during that period. Once you confirm, the subscription ends right away and your account stays suspended until you subscribe again.
• To withdraw from a day pass, or if you prefer, send an email to contato@softwise.tech within that period, stating your account email and that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal. Withdrawal ends the corresponding day pass.
• We confirm your request right away, by email, with the refund instructions, and refund the full amount paid to the same payment method used for the purchase. Purchases paid by boleto are refunded by Pix, to a key in the account holder’s name.

After those 7 days, there are no refunds of amounts already paid or of unused periods, but you can cancel at any time to stop future renewals (section 5). This does not affect other rights the law grants you, such as in the event of a failure in the service.

FixResume is for personal use, to prepare your own career. Besides credits, the service has daily fair-use limits, such as a cap on artificial intelligence calls and on PDF resume readings. These limits exist to keep the service available to everyone and to prevent abuse.

When using FixResume, you agree not to:

• use bots, scripts or other automation to access the service, or extract data from it (scraping);
• resell or sublicense access to FixResume, or exploit it commercially for third parties;
• reverse engineer the service or try to obtain its source code, the instructions given to the artificial intelligence, or access to its infrastructure;
• get around credit and usage limits, including by using multiple accounts, or bypass security measures such as the bot check;
• enter other people’s personal data without their permission;
• submit content that is unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or that infringes the rights of others, such as copyrights or an employer’s confidential information;
• manipulate the artificial intelligence for purposes unrelated to the service or to generate unlawful content;
• deliberately overload the service or do anything that compromises its security or availability.

Breaking these rules may lead to the suspension or termination of your account (section 13), without prejudice to any applicable legal action.

• What you put into FixResume (profile, experience, job postings, applications) remains yours. The resumes and text generated for you are also yours to use freely.
• To provide the service, you grant Softwise a limited, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, process and display that content, and to send it to the artificial intelligence providers, only as far as needed to deliver the features you use. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for what the law requires us to keep.
• We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and of what you choose to use. FixResume must not be used to make up experience, job titles, degrees, certifications or achievements you do not have.
• When you record other people’s details, such as the participants in an interview, enter only what is necessary.

• The analysis, tailored resume, text improvements, skill and technology suggestions, PDF reading and interview guide use third-party artificial intelligence. Currently, the text needed for each action is sent to OpenRouter, in the United States, which forwards it to the DeepSeek V4.1 Flash model, run by inference providers also headquartered in the United States, never by DeepSeek itself. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
• FixResume instructs the artificial intelligence not to make up information, but the results may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies. Review everything before using or sending a resume.
• The match score and the suggestions are automated estimates, not a recruiter’s assessment.
• FixResume does not guarantee interviews, a job offer or passing automated screening systems (ATS).
• FixResume does not make automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

FixResume, including its software, brand, layout, resume templates, text and other elements, belongs to Softwise or is licensed to it. These terms do not transfer to you any intellectual property rights in the service: you receive a personal, limited, revocable and non-transferable license to use FixResume for its intended purpose.

The resumes you export with FixResume’s templates may be used freely in your job applications.

We do our best to keep FixResume available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, technical failures, provider outages (hosting, database, payments or artificial intelligence), unforeseeable events or force majeure may cause temporary unavailability.

FixResume is evolving, and features may be added, changed or removed. If a change significantly reduces what you paid for, you will be notified and may cancel.

Softwise is liable for damages it causes, under the applicable law.

Softwise is not liable for damages caused solely by you or by third parties, such as those arising from:

• decisions by companies and recruiters, or the outcome of hiring processes;
• use of content generated by the artificial intelligence without your review;
• false or inaccurate information you enter;
• misuse of your account, including by anyone with access to your email;
• a breach of these terms.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that the law, in particular the Código de Defesa do Consumidor, grants you and that cannot be waived.

• You can stop using FixResume at any time. To end your subscription, cancel it in “My subscription”. To delete your account and your data, write to contato@softwise.tech.
• After a deletion request, your data is erased within 30 days, except for what the law requires us to keep: billing records, for 5 years, and access logs, for 6 months (article 15 of the Marco Civil da Internet, Brazil’s Internet Civil Rights Framework). The details are in the Privacy Policy.
• Softwise may suspend or terminate accounts in the event of a breach of these terms, fraud, abusive use, a risk to the security of the service or of other people, or a legal requirement. Whenever appropriate, you will be notified by email, with the reason.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or in the law. The date of the version in effect is shown on this page.

When a change is significant, you will be notified in advance, by email or in FixResume itself, before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription and ask us to delete your account. Price changes follow section 5.

The processing of your personal data follows the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, which are part of these terms. They describe the data processed, the purposes, the legal bases, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights as a data subject under the LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Brazil’s data protection law, Law No. 13,709/2018).

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, in particular the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Law No. 8,078/1990), the Marco Civil da Internet (Law No. 12,965/2014), the LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018) and Decree No. 7,962/2013, on e-commerce.

In consumer relationships, you are guaranteed the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. In all other cases, the courts of the district where Softwise has its registered office are chosen.
